A proven technical innovator for market leaders, Polchin has been with TDS from its inception in 2018 after ten years and a successful exit and split from TrueVision following its sale to Alcon. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in various Fortune 500 companies including Walt Disney Feature Animation and Raytheon.  Among his unique accomplishments…his name is on a NASA Mars satellite, three major Hollywood animated films and several patents.

At TrueVision, Polchin introduced high dynamic range stereoscopic imaging to surgical microscopy, driving the market toward digitizing the surgical microscope and transforming the operating room to “heads-up” surgery, improved surgical team integration and better patient outcomes. He continues as the lead in developing the beautiful imagery for which TDS is known.

Developing key IP at TrueVision and TDS, he authored patents for the digital surgical exoscope, augmented reality surgery, and an integrated optical coherence tomography (OCT) data fusion offering and is the primary inventor on more in process.
